Bunnell Street Arts Center was created in 1991 by and for artists to sustain artists, cultivate audiences, and engage a vibrant Alaskan community. Bunnell presents Visual Art exhibitions, artist residencies, Artist in Schools programs, workshops, performances, monthly concerts and artist talks, public art, community engagement and more.

The Ursa Major Fund 

Applications accepted September 1 - October 31, 2025

Joining the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts as a Regional Regranting Partner in 2025, Bunnell is pleased to introduce The Ursa Major Fund. The Ursa Major Fund supports the independent, self-organized work of artists, small groups and collaborators playing a crucial role within Alaska’s cultural ecosystem with grants of $1000, $4000 or $10,000 to develop and present artist-led, risk-taking, public-facing projects rooted in the visual arts that inspire curiosity, community engagement, dialogue and respect for cultural integrity. Ursa Major Fund applications are open from September 1 - October 31 each year.
